FAQ
Personal organizations cannot invite. Create or join a standard organization, or ask an existing org admin.
Membership
Cannot invite members
already a member
The email already belongs to the org. Update their role on Members instead of re-inviting.
Invitation expired
Send a new invite from Invitations.
SSO user stuck in pending approval
An admin must Approve under Members → Pending approval, or adjust SSO auto-approve settings.
Ownership
How do I become owner?
The current owner must use Transfer ownership. You cannot self-promote via invite or role PATCH.
cannot remove last owner
Every org needs exactly one owner. Transfer first, then remove the old owner if they should leave.
SSO
SSO provider is not enabled
Org admin must enable and configure the provider on SSO.
email domain is not allowed
Add and verify the domain under Domains, or adjust SSO email rules.
Password login disabled
Use work email → SSO. Org admins re-enable password only when policy allows.
Plan & quotas
organization quota exceeded
Check Plan — reduce usage or upgrade seats/workspaces.
Platform read-only
Support says they can see our org but cannot change settings
Expected. Platform read-only access does not grant org admin writes.
